She popped the question!

Hubby was peeing in the toilet then darling daughter walked in. She said "daddy shee shee; what is this?" while pointing at hubby's bird bird... hahahaha...! Hubby quickly called me and ask me how to answer her! We then told her "that's the penis, daddy is boy boy; boy has penis to shee shee. You are girl, you don't have a penis..." I hope we have answered her correctly ;p

Never did we expect the "birds & bees" questions to pop-up so fast, she's only 1.5 years old! Better read up on sex education now...

Hong Kong Trip

Back from first trip with darling daughter. It was tiring and stressful! She wanted to be carried most of the time, clung on to me like a koala... I could hardly eat, what more about shopping! We spent half the time tending to her naps and meals when we were out and had to be back to hotel by 8pm to get her ready for bedtime. Hubby and I then have to pack dinner and eat at hotel! This is really a new experience for us.

The weather was super hot! Average 33 degree Celsius! So you could imagine the torture we went through while in Disneyland. Darling was all excited when she saw Mickey and the rest of the characters. I was worried she would be terrified by their huge size compared to what she used to see on TV; but no, she was ecstatic and wanted to take pictures with them. Finally we only managed to take a photo with Mickey.

Nonetheless, I still managed to grab some Japanese brand make-up and skincare from Sasa & Watsons. Really worth it, as some item are 50% cheaper than if I were to purchase them from Malaysian online stores. Also managed to do some shopping at Fa Yuen Street (my favourite cheap shopping place in Hong Kong) and Citygate outlet mall.

Here are my new make-up and skincare 'stock'.

Barney - Every kids' favorite

Do you like Barney? Do you think he's adorable? Personally, I don't find this big purple thing cute at all! But somehow every kid seems to love him. Is it the colour? Does purple colour has some psychological effect on young children??

Darling daughter met her idol and could not resist to take a photo with him!

2nd Mid Autumn Festival

Darling daughter celebrates her 2nd mid autumn festival this year.

When I ask her, "what do we do for jung chew jie (mid autumn festival in mandarin)?"; she would answer "play lantern, eat moon cake".

Same "Nemo" lantern from last year, its still good.

Play lantern and read book book and the same time!

Frugal Baby Learning Tip

Everyone is talking about recycle, recycle, recycle... Here is what I do to recycle redemption catalogues from banks, members newsletters from departmental stores and other promotional flyers we receive in abundance; I use them as reading materials for my 1.5 year old girl :o)

She loves them! They have plenty of pictures of products, clothes, electrical appliances, toys, food and many more. She learns quickly as she could relate to these item in her daily life. Another way to save some money and the environment!
