Paddington House of Pancakes

sorry, the photo doesn't look very appetising :p... it was taken from my phone.

Brussels Galete... that was what i've tried at PHOP. It was hard to decide though... they have 100+ item in their menu! So finally i chose this because the pancake is made with buckweat and in da menu it reads - light & fluffy... hehe, sounds less fattening than the rest ... But actually not lor, cos it comes with cheese, bacon, sunny side up egg, baked beans, roasted tomato and few leaves of vege.

One bite... hmm.... the pancake is so light, so thin, so smooth and with the cheesy topping... yummmmm ! Very good ! Aiya, i can't wait to go back to try more of their pancakes!

I still remember the best pancake i had last was at The Denny's at Las Vegas. I was so amazed on how light and fluffy the texture was... it was a dream. Wonder if PHOP can match up...

Hubby's Birthday

It was hubby's birthday 2 weeks back; this is his first birthday celebration after arrival of our darling daughter :o)

Presents for him this year:

- new glasses
- CROCS slipper
- Choc Cheese Cake from Just Heavenly

so glad that hubby likes the slipper and the cake so much (if was his own choice for the glasses) and this is actually our first taste of Just Heavenly cakes !!!!

The cake was very pretty, decorated with shredded chocolate and fresh orchids, very unusual! It looks even better when the candles were lighted. Taste wise, it was good but i expected better. Perhaps my expectation was too high after reading so much good reviews about their desserts. Anyway, I only had one small slice of the cake and hubby finished most of it - as usual! According to him it actually taste better after it has been thawed - more moist and flavourful. Hmm... I would like to try their Durian Choc next.
