Best Puffs - 1A Crispy Puffs

This is definitely one of the best puffs I have ever eaten! Very light, crispy and the pastry is NOT OILY! Comes with so many variety of fillings - curry chicken, black pepper chicken, mushroom chicken, otak-otak, tuna, sardine, veggie, durian and more... surprisingly all of them are good!

Especially the durian puff... look at the generous amount of thick, creamy durian filling oozing out from the puff! Warning: Super addictive! But one can be already too much for some, half a piece is just nice for me.

Location: No. 15, Jln SS21/37, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya (same row as HSBC, few doors away
from Village Park Cafe)

Kid Friendliness: Not quite. Its a take-out shop with only a few tables available.

DIY Father's Day Gift

This year I ironed a darling daughter's photo on hubby's t-shirt as his father's gift! hahaha... yes, I used one of his old t-shirt! That was not the original plan though; I did buy a new t-shirt, but it wasn't suitable cos it already has an logo on it. So, I had no choice but to use an old t-shirt due to time constraint.

Here are the steps I took:

1. 'Treat' the photo first at glassgiant.com. I 'made' the photo into a snow dome and added
greeting
2. Buy a pack of iron-on t-shirt transfer paper from computer shop
3. Print the photo onto the t-shirt transfer paper with an inkjet printer
4. Cut the printed t-shirt transfer paper into the right size; iron onto the t-shirt as instructed

Ta-da! A personalised t-shirt is just that simple to make!

You can actually print whatever you want and iron on any fabric item; bags, pencil case, make-up pouches, etc...

Meaningful eh?

Birthday Celebration 2 @ Senses, Hilton Sentral

This 2nd birthday celebration was just with my beloved hubby =o) We wanted to a place that serves excellent food, good ambience and yet near our home; cos we had to rush home to our darling daugther after dinner. There wasn't a lot of option, hence we opt to go back to Senses as we were really satisfied with the food the last time we were there but have to forego the ambience part :(

Honestly, Senses serves really delicious food but I really wish they could improve on their tables arrangement. They are way too close for comfort! Its 5 star pricing and food quality but fast food seating! Yes, the tables are as close as McD, I'm not joking.

Anyway, back to the food.

Our favourite is the Seafood Soup. Thick, brothy and aromatic. It taste like lobster bisque. See there are 4 pieces of stuff there? Those are a big piece of fresh lobster meat, a fat juicy scallop, a chunk of fish (I think its cod) and a piece of tender potato. So so so yummy!

The Hokkaido Scallops. This is an appetizer. There were 3 giant scallops, slightly seared and served with goat cheese and greens. Really fresh and juicy scallops, it was actually still raw in the middle, but I think this is the best way to eat scallops to enjoy its natural sweetness. Unfortunately both of us did not appreciate the goat cheese.

I had Coral Trout. The fish was cooked to perfection served on a bed of mashed potatoes with seafood gravy. It was very delicious, but it tasted too similar to the seafood soup.

Hubby had the Veal with Bacon. Absolutely awesome! The meat was so tender and juicy. The bacon gave an extra 'fragrant' to the dish. Lovely!

Can't remember the name of our dessert. It was warm chocolate cake serve with ice cream. Not bad, but I prefer Chilli's Molten Chocolate. Photo is too blur to post here ;p

This is a complimentary dessert. Persimon sorbet. Tasted better than the dessert we paid for! Very refreshing!
